On Monday (4), during a press conference, Russian Chancellor Sergei Lavrov said that Russia intends to develop relations with most countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“The West has essentially cut all its ties with our country, graciously allowing itself to maintain some relations, above all, in which it is interested. We will not artificially harm our interests, but we have come to the conclusion that the West cannot be trusted,” the Russian chancellor said.
Lavrov reiterated that Russia will continue to develop economic, political, military-technical, and cultural ties with any country that is ready to do so on a mutually beneficial basis.
